Sie waren eng befreundet gewesen. Macke hatte 1910 bei einem Besuch in Mnchen einige von Marcs Lithografien entdeckt und den Kontakt zu ihm gesucht. Noch im gleichen Jahr folgte er einer Einladung Marcs an den Tegernsee, wo seine "Segelboote" entstanden. Original: 1910, l auf Leinwand, Albertina, Sammlung Batlingen.
