Perfect EXCEPT for the Noise

My ideals for a watch are: full numerals, easy to read (good contrast and numbers, lines for the minutes and hours), light up function, case under 33mm, swappable bands, and preferably cute, in either silver color or rose gold color.
This one checks all the boxes... And is the only one I've found which does. You can see on the picture that I replaced the band.
Now here's the problem... The watch is LOUD! The analog watch I'm replacing is entirely quiet except when brought to the ear. This one... I hear it from feet away. My husband hears it from feet away too. I've tried two of the same model and they're equally loud. It gets distracting for me. Not at night, as the blankets mute it up, but during the day. Holding my phone typing this up, or during work, conversations... even when driving I hear it over the engine and traffic noise, because the driving position brings it closer to me, tick tick tick tick. It's impressive how that sound can carry.
I've read on the internet a few people saying they improved the noise of their Timex watches by removing the hand that does the seconds. I love having it but I might just get desperate enough to try this little operation. This is the perfect watch for me except for that problem. So sad.
(EDIT: I did end up trying to remove the seconds hand. It did quiet down the watch. Unfortunately, I also broke the watch in the process of putting it back together. I've decided to cut my losses and I'm now wearing a Fossil Carlie Mini (roughly $100, and available on Amazon, entirely quiet). Doesn't light up or have full numerals but what can you do. I wear a cheap digital that can light up at night and make do.)
