Die Seiler-SagaDer gelernte Seifensieder Alexander Seiler aus Blitzingen im Goms pachtete im Jahr 1852 auf Anraten seines Bruders die einzige kleine Herberge im Bergbauerndorf Zermatt. Zwei Jahre spter kaufte er das Gasthaus mit zwlf Betten und legte damit den Grundstein fr ein spteres Hotelimperium, das bei Seilers Tod im Jahr 1891 bereits neun Hotels mit ber 1000 Betten und 700 Angestellten umfasste.
