A mix of both channels is available at the sum, but all outputs are available simultaneously. The newest version has normalisations to +5v, so with nothing plugged into the ins voltage can be toggled on and off at the outputs and up to 10 volts can be output at the sum. I presume these do what they are meant to do...replenish electrolytes (although how completely you need replenishing, meaning needing other minerals besides what are in these Idk) However, the whole reason I would not repurchase is the taste is ...OFF. For some its not that strong, but for me its TOO strong, I want a subtler lemon lime taste (or any other flavor) basically a sugarless Sprite taste. And if you're looking for fizz to truly make it a flavored seltzer water experience, Nope.
