As can be seen here the fluted areas are heavily padded to give a distinctive look. Generally the paddings underneath are reusable even if they are 50 years old! Please note that colours listed are those that were used in the original manufacture of the vehicle. I really wanted to love these, and I *almost* did. They are comfortable and cute. But they are a little wide across the mid-foot so they were a little sloppy on my feet. The platform is quite high, and while at 5'3" I appreciated the extra height, between that and being too wide, I felt they were an accident waiting to happen. If they were slightly more narrow and a little lower, I would have been in love, but I had to return them. They seem true to size except for the extra width.
