Like the reviews said, it lathers up nicely and rinses away very easily. I washed three large dogs (2 with short coats) and used up almost 1/2 the bar. Not sure if that's a great value or not. But at least I didn't have liquid shampoo dripping off their backs and running down the drain! While washing, the smell was nice, but it definitely didn't linger. Didn't cause any itchiness or irritation.
