D’Oliveiras Boal Madeira 1903DOliveiras is one of the more classic Madeira shippers, and one of the few to survive from the pre Phylloxera era. Light, bright tawny. Rather fusty nose at first. Very treacly and concentrated with aggressive attack. There is something a little metallic and hard about the end of the palate but it's amazingly persistent. Quite rich. This may have been kept in wood a little bit too long but it's amazing how well it has stood up to the experience.

Everybody loves these blankets. Couch throw or super comforting blanket on top of bed covers. My wife selected the first. Now we own 4 or 5. Wife, son, couch, gifts to niece and father. Easy to wash; comes out new again. Doesn't feel cheap or low quality textile like. Feels great light-medium weight! Not too hot. Not too thin or light. Just might be the goldilocks blanket.
