Original R.A.44 Mortar Sight BoxThis is a rare box for a rare piece. The R. A. 44 was a simplified late war German mortar sight; as the name implies, it went into production in 1944 so very few were made compared with the R. A. 35 and other variants. The box is coated in surface rust but is still in very restore able condition. The rust will come off easily and should leave a nice, relatively smooth surface. It appears that the box was never painted on the inside since the
