Pra Morandina Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2021Ruby red colour with tints of purple. On the nose, aromas of fresh black cherries, spices are particularly prominent. Flavoursome with good acidity, the palate is filled with the taste of cherries and plum jam as black pepper and rhubarb. Rich and opulent with an lesser spotted elegance and finesse for Ripasso. It is aged for 9 months in Slavonian oak barrels and is made using the ripasso method an old technique used in Verona which involves repassing

The Odyssey to own
Format: Hardcover
Even if you don't read Greek, you should be able to see what the original looks like alongside of a fine prose translation in English. My Ancient Greek is rusty, so I have found the accuracy of the English version of great help in re-entering this classic of world literature.

Reviers discussing wrong translation
Format: Hardcover
I have read the two earlier reviews. They are concerned with the Fitzgerald translation indicated as the "paperback" version of this edition. However, this edition (the Loeb Classical Library edition) is not by Fitzgerald but by A. T. Murray and is a prose translation as are all Loeb translations of classical poetry. Of course, the Fitzgerald translation is a monumental classic in its own right, but it is not the edition published by Loeb.
