It was manufactured in 1942 by Gregory & Read Co. It retains its original, matching mess kit pouch (also known as a "meat can"). A laundry number was applied and then subsequently covered on the main flap's reverse. Provenance Private Collection, Crown Point, Indiana Condition Report Fair Good Excellent This haversack is in good, used condition. All of its straps, hooks, and "DAN DEE"

Great Book!

This book is so cute and fun to read. I read it to my boys (who usually don't want anything to do with unicorns) and they laughed at the illustrations and thought it was a great book.

Your kids will love it

The kids love this book, shoot, I even enjoy the book. The illustrations are superb as well. Hopefully there are more Grumpy Unicorn books in the future. Two thumbs up.
