The shaft is much thicker and is more securely positioned so I can't imagine it becoming tweaked off balance like my old one. And it comes with an extra mixer attachment! I do wish the lowest speed was slightly lower, but it hasn't caused any splashing or other detriment. The speed adjustment is very smooth and power is abundant.
