This shot peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the leaf. Without this shot peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the leaf. Runs much larger than I expected. I am 5’4”& 136 pounds. Usually wear a medium or large in some knit tops. So I need to stitch the side seams in hopes it will fit better. I like the weight and softness of the fabric, but really disappointed in the too large armholes. Unwearable for me until I can sew new side seams.
