Smiley Face Sun - 60s Vintage Stickpin 0.75"This is an unlicensed variation of the classic Harvey Ball smiley face which was created in 1962 and popularized by Bernard and Murray Spain who mass produced smiley face merchandise in the 70s. The Harvey Ball smiley face buttons were pinback style, making this stickpin style all the more interesting. A piece of button history.

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
